I live in Oakland, California and would prefer to drop off these cassette tapes locally; however, rather than just dumping them into the trash, I would consider mailing them.I have a bag of cassette tapes-- mixed music. Any idea where I can donate or recycle? Tapes are in cases.?

Well you can always try your local Salvation Army , put them in a yard sale or give them to a neighbor/kid ! You can also take them to a nursing home or group home ..They live for donations !
Ok this is fun. This site allows you to give away things you dont want and recieve stuff other people dont want. Its all free and they can just come and pick them up for you. Just give someone a chance to have them if they really want them. You have to sign up but I just love it.
