I'm preparing for a trip. On a flight, would a handycam case or a digital camera bag be considered a carry-on?

It would not be considered a carry on but it would be considered your personal item. You are allowed one carry on and one personal item (purse, briefcase, tote bag, ect.).I'm preparing for a trip. On a flight, would a handycam case or a digital camera bag be considered a carry-on?
No it is more along the lines of a purse. A person is allowed to bring one carry-on and a purse or laptop or in your case a handycam case. The airlines biggest complaint is people trying to bring too large of a carry-on. I have seen this so many times and now the airlines are finally cracking down.I'm preparing for a trip. usually they allow you a backpack as a carryon and one personal item - such as a purse, camera bag, laptop, etc. so i'm pretty sure you can bring the camera bag and a carryon. i'd double check with the airline - mayeb check thier website.
You're allowed to ';carry on'; one piece of luggage, and one ';personal bag';. The personal bag must fit under the seat in front of you. Stow all your important documents and electronics, etc. in the personal bag. It can be a small backpack.
I traveled long distance about seven months ago and my camera bag was not counted as a carry-on. However, I do strongly recommend you to have some space for it in your carry-on bag just in case.
