or do i need some kind of weapons documents? their website is very vague. http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage%26amp;friendID=10635920%26amp;albumID=343838%26amp;imageID=33269445
thats a pic of it.I have a bow in a soft leather bag case. can i take that onto a southwest airline as checked baggage? or do i?
That would be fine in your checked luggage. There are no documentation requirements that I am aware of for bows. If it is contained within another bag, it would not hurt to tell the ticket agent when you check the bag, but it is not subject to the kinds of requirements that a gun is.
If you are carrying arrows, then they just need to be packed in such a way that no one can get cut or injured by the tips.
